AI Analysis

The investment signal for Lumentum (LITE) is prompted by the increasing demand for photonics technology in AI data centers, where traditional copper wiring is becoming less efficient due to power loss and heat generation. Charan.invests highlighted that Lumentum manufactures essential laser and optical components used in data center connections, which are critical for generating and transmitting light signals through fiber optics, thereby enhancing data transfer efficiency. While specific financial metrics for Lumentum were not provided in the transcript, the emphasis on the company's role in the photonics sector suggests a positive outlook. Charan indicated a neutral watch status for Lumentum, implying that while he sees potential, he may not be ready to recommend an immediate buy. For investors tracking this signal, it suggests a cautious approach to Lumentum, monitoring for further developments or price movements before making a decision.

The first photonics talk I told you about AXT is up over 100% in a month. Here are two more photonics stocks I'm watching to buy. Using light instead of copper wires is called photonics. In an AI data center servers and GPUs are constantly sending huge files of data. Copper starts to run into problems because it whisks power and creates heat. Photonics uses tiny lasers to turn data into light and sends a true fiber, so it can move data more efficiently with less heat. The first talk I'm watching is Lumentum. Lumentum makes the core laser and optical pieces that sit inside data center connections. Their parts are used to generate the light signal, shape it and transmit it through the fibers or information can move more quickly through the racks and servers. Second is AXT. I already owned a stock by want to buy more on dips in the 20s. AXT makes Indian phosphate, a specialty material used to build tiny lasers inside data centers. AXT supplies a third of the world's Indian phosphate, but only 100 companies of similar size. Most of the global supply comes from just two companies and prices are rising giving AXT a lot of leverage. If you want to see my first talk portfolio and the stocks I'm looking to buy, comment stock and I'll send it over.
