So I wish I could talk to all of you guys individually for an extended period of time and help you with your situations and questions But it's kind of impossible. So I wanted to make this video because I spoke with a follower yesterday about his situation He basically did one of the things that, you know, is a very common mistake for newer investors Which is to sell low and buy high There's a common saying from Warren Buffett that the best investors in the world are Not the ones that are the smartest but the ones that have the best temperament Which just means that you can have control over your emotions. Stocks move irrationally all the time And this creates opportunity for anyone who's in this particular situation doesn't know what to do He to fix your mindset first You can't be investing when you don't have the emotional control to invest I would say that, hey, this could have just been a one-time learning mistake that, you know, he can move on from And I think it will be But, you know, the way he's told me the story is that it's happened multiple times and that he checks his accounts consistently And that is not a good thing to do if you can't control yourself The March lows, I've seen my portfolio swing over 100k And it did not feel good but it didn't change anything And this is with me buying a brand new position This is for micron because of the earnings report being excellent and kind of disbelling any fears that I had around The geopolitical risks that we were facing So I bought a significant amount, I bought 50k more of micron in both shares and options And I somehow went down nearly 30k within the span of, you know, a week and a half But even then, it felt bad but it didn't change anything And I still hold those shares now and you guys seeing the videos that I've made of it since I remade did the same thing He also believed in the thesis He has also seen these swings up and down He did not panic sell and now we're both, you know, in a good position This is just one example I've seen many examples of this in the past And, you know, this will consistently happen into the future as well I want this to hopefully find someone who's new and facing this type of situation To understand that, hey, if you're learning to invest, you need to start from the very basics Before you start making ridiculous amounts of money Because if you don't know even the basics, you're not going to be able to do this sustainably So for anyone facing this situation right now, get your emotions under control I don't know how you would do that Maybe you need to learn the type of person that you are Some people, what they do is they'll just buy and then delete the apps And then when they need to buy again They will re-download the apps and buy again Especially if you know yourself and you know that you can't handle The price is going up and down I hope this helps someone else who's facing this type of situation Because I think it's probably the most expensive type of, you know, character trait to have when being an investor
